Junior Cost Control

The Junior Cost Control is responsible for supporting the restaurant group s financial control by monitoring food, beverage, and operational costs. The role ensures accurate cost tracking, inventory management, and reporting to support profitability, reduce waste, and maintain alignment with budgeted targets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and record daily food, beverage, and operational expenses across outlets. -Assist in preparing cost variance reports and highlight discrepancies between actual and theoretical costs.-Conduct daily/weekly sales and consumption analyses and prepare food & beverage cost reports.-Support inventory management by monitoring stock movements, conducting spot checks, and reconciling variances.-Review purchase orders, supplier invoices, and price changes to ensure cost efficiency.-Assist in menu costing, recipe standardization, and portion control in collaboration with the culinary team.-Prepare periodic cost control reports for management (daily, weekly, monthly).-Ensure compliance with internal control procedures related to procurement, receiving, storing, and issuing.-Liaise with procurement, kitchen, bar, and operations teams to validate and analyze cost data.-Identify opportunities to minimize waste, prevent pilferage, and optimize resource usage
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.-0 2 years of experience in cost control, accounting (restaurant/hospitality experience preferred).-Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of POS and inventory management systems (Micros, FMC, Material Control, ACE or similar) is an advantage.-Basic knowledge of food & beverage costing, inventory control, and menu engineering.-Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.-Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.-Eagerness to learn, adapts, and grows within the F&B industry.
