Key Responsibilities

Support inspection and supervision of airfield civil works including pavements, subgrade preparation, base courses, and surface finishes for aprons, taxiways, and runways

Verify construction methods, materials, and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, and international airfield standards such as ICAO and FAA

Identify, report, and track non-conformances, coordinating corrective actions with contractors and senior engineers

Review contractor submittals, method statements, and material certifications for compliance with project requirements

Assist senior engineers in assessing design deviations and resolving field engineering issues

Provide on-site civil engineering support for airfield pavements, drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure

Interpret drawings and specifications, resolving site queries and coordinating interfaces with utilities, drainage, and airfield systems

Support testing, commissioning, and verification of completed civil works

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure works align with project schedules and quality requirements

Participate in site meetings, inspections, and progress reviews

Ensure all civil works comply with HSE requirements, airside safety procedures, and airport safety management systems

Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, punch lists, and site documentation

Prepare daily and weekly progress and inspection reports

Support quality audits and inspections by QA/QC teams and regulatory authorities

Assist senior civil engineers in mentoring junior staff and promoting consistent engineering and quality practices

Ideal Profile

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, construction supervision, or inspection roles

Proven experience on airport, airfield, runway, taxiway, or large-scale civil infrastructure projects

Strong knowledge of airfield pavements, drainage systems, and associated utilities

Ability to read and interpret civil and airfield drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, testing protocols, and inspection practices

Good coordination, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills

Ability to work effectively in restricted or operational airside environments

Exposure to ICAO, FAA, and local airport authority standards

Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM, or field verification tools is an advantage

Strong command of English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
