Accounting Manager Position Summary

Glick is a family-owned-and-operated business that employs more than 100 people throughout Pennsylvania. We offer high quality products and services for Fire & EMS industries across the state of PA. The Accounting Manager will work Monday – Friday 7:30am-4:30pm managing AP & AR while producing, analyzing, and verifying financial information. The Accounting Manger works alongside administrative, sales and customer service employees to achieve optimum efficiency and excellent customer service, in keeping with the values and vision of Glick Fire Equipment.

Accounting Manager Job Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Encourage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable by coaching and developing individual goals and skills.
  • Facilitate problem resolution – internally with employees, and externally with customers and corporate partners.
  • Collaborate and coordinate efforts with VP of Finance.

Finance

  • Assist with monthly financial statement preparation.
  • Analyze and reconcile monthly reports for accuracy.
  • Assist with budget and long-range forecast preparation.

Daily Tasks

  • Maintain awareness of daily cash flow needs and proactively communicate with VP of Finance.
  • Review profit margins and accuracy of all receivables invoicing
  • Provide oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities to ensure completion of time-sensitive processes

Accounting Manager Requirements

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must have a minimum of mid-level Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Must have knowledge of common accounting programs, Sage 50 experience is desirable.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of supervisor experience.
  • Must have the ability to manage a high-volume workload of tasks and management.
