We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, with primary responsibility for Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting. The role will include preparing and reviewing the Income Statement (Profit & Loss) and supporting monthly financial closing and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • * Handle supplier invoices by checking, recording, and matching them with purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Prepare supplier payments, reconcile supplier balances, and follow up on unpaid or disputed invoices.
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll, including salaries, overtime, deductions, leave, and other adjustments.
  • Check attendance and timesheets and coordinate with HR regarding employee changes and payroll updates.
  • Record daily accounting transactions and journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
  • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and other account reconciliations and correct any differences.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Prepare the monthly Income Statement (P&L) and review revenues, expenses, payroll costs, and other financial results.
  • Compare actual results with budgets or previous periods and highlight important differences.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and monthly management reports.
  • Ensure accounting records and financial reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of financial and payroll information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll.
  • Good understanding of the Income Statement / Profit & Loss Account and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
  • Ability to work independently and meet monthly reporting deadlines.
