Civil Engineer Internship
Energy Land & Infrastructure, LLC
Energy Land & Infrastructure (ELI) is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern or Co-op student for the 2026 spring semester. This is a fantastic opportunity to access hands-on experience working on projects that impact our communities in a collaborative environment. The Engineering Intern will assist and support the Project Manager and engineering team with multiple design projects.
An ideal candidate would demonstrate a growing degree of judgment and capabilities in a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills are required for this position. Pro-active problem-solving skills as well as an interest in developing a knowledge of engineering principles and objectives are necessary. In general, these responsibilities may include, but not limited to the following:
- Drafting in AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and as-built drawing development.
- Assist with reviewing, checking, and validating field data for completeness & accuracy.
- Providing professional and technical support.
- Working on a collaboration of land development, public infrastructure, and energy related projects.
- Supporting engineers and other key professional disciplines in the preparation of plans for Civil Engineering projects.
- Assisting with creating and revising permitting and construction drawings and details.
- Drawing finished designs from sketches and concepts under the direction of the Engineer.
- Collaborating with team engineers, project manager, and designers to ensure company standards and best practices are implemented.
- Performing additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Education/Experience Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- AutoCAD: 1+ year (Preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Civil Engineering accredited degree program.
Schedule
- Spring Semester (January-May 2026)
- Monday to Friday
- 20-40 hours per week (Flexible work hours that adjust to your class schedule)

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
