A leading food manufacturing company in Lebanon, with international distribution, is looking for a General Manager to join their team in Lebanon.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the optimal utilization of financial, human, and production planning resources to ensure high-quality output and sustainable profitability.
  • Define, drive, and execute the company’s overall strategy, set strategic objectives, and align them with the Board’s direction and approval.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s business plan, ensuring full alignment with the approved strategy and long-term objectives.
  • Prepare and manage the annual action plan and budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achievement of financial targets.
  • Ensure that all critical operational and management processes are properly designed, implemented, monitored, and regularly reviewed in line with recognized standards.
  • Identify, assess, and develop new business opportunities to enhance production utilization and improve profitability.
  • Work closely with the Finance function to analyze cost structures per product and production line/shape, identifying the most profitable products and optimization opportunities.
  • Oversee the execution of the approved action plan and budget, ensuring performance tracking and preparation of comprehensive monthly reports for the Board.
  • Manage strategic relationships with key clients in coordination with the Commercial function, analyzing customer needs to strengthen partnerships and increase order volumes.
  • Review customer complaints and approve corrective and preventive actions to ensure continuous improvement and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that the organization has the required management capabilities, financial resources, and operational capacity to achieve its strategic and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • MBA is considered a strong advantage.
  • Previous experience as a General Manager within a large industrial organization, from the food industry.
  • Proven expertise in process management and project execution.
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, cost control, and performance monitoring.
  • Fluency in Arabic, French and English.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Willingness to travel across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia as required.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments and manage complex business challenges.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with advanced analytical thinking, sound judgment, and a commitment to transparency and excellence.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, dedication, and the ability to drive performance across multidisciplinary teams.
