Spinneys the leading supermarket retailer in the Middle East, with hypermarkets and supermarkets currently operating in Lebanon.

Spinneys was first established in 1924 by Arthur Spinneys in the suburbs of Alexandria Egypt, to provide consumers with a friendly shopping environment where they can find high quality fresh produce, groceries, and baked goods at a fair price.

Spinneys opened its doors to Lebanese shoppers in 1948 in the old Beirut Souks, and went on to expand its stores in Raouche, Verdun, Hamra and Jnah, to offer customers a convenient one-stop shopping experience.

Due to civil war happening in Lebanon at that time, Spinneys stopped their operations in 1976. However, they overcame these challenges, reopened their doors twenty-two years later, and pioneered the concept of hypermarkets in Lebanon in 1998 through a new flagship store in Dbayeh. As this success was tremendous, it led Spinneys to expand its branches and open additional stores across Lebanon once again.

Job Description

Job Purpose

Yelo Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing all marketing and communication activities related to the program. This role ensures consistent growth in user engagement, brand visibility, and program performance through strategic campaigns, personalized communication, and strong community interaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Campaigns & Communications

Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote Yelo app and its features, rewards, benefits, and credit card.
Create communication roadmaps aligned with business priorities and customer insights.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure timely and effective campaign delivery.
Ensure consistency of tone of voice, branding, and messaging across all channels.

2. Media Planning

Build and manage media plans for Yelo campaigns (digital media, paid social, influencer collaborations, offline placements when applicable).
Allocate and optimize budgets to maximize reach and ROI.
Track performance and provide actionable insights to improve future planning.

3. Social Media Content

Plan, brief, and oversee the creation of engaging social media content promoting Yelo activities, promotions, and partnerships.
Manage the content calendar and ensure alignment with overall marketing strategy.
Monitor performance metrics and continuously optimize content for engagement and growth.

4. Events & Activations

Plan and execute on-ground activations, brand events, and partner-driven activities to increase Yelo visibility and member engagement.
Coordinate logistics, creative materials, staffing, and reporting of results.
Build strong relationships with partners to secure co-branded activations and opportunities.

5. Community Management

Engage daily with Yelo users across social platforms, responding to inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Escalate any issues to relevant teams and ensure quick resolution.
Monitor conversations and community trends to identify opportunities for improvement and engagement.

6. Personalized Campaigns

Develop targeted and personalized communication campaigns using user segmentation and behavioral data (push notifications, emails, in-app messages).
Collaborate with the CRM and data teams to refine audience segments and improve campaign performance.
Analyze user journeys to identify gaps and new engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

Between 3 and 5 years of experience in related field
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related field
