About the role

We are looking for a motivated, ambitious and experienced Head of Finance to be responsible for our Accounting and Treasury department with the goal of maintaining our company’s financial health, implementing and maintaining stringent processes and controls and ensuring we meet all statutory requirements. We operate a multi-entity international structure involving transfer pricing arrangements and multiple tax regimes, all of which require careful and ongoing management. This is not a routine management accountant role but an operational leadership position responsible for upholding highest standard internal and external reporting.

In the age of AI and widely available automation tools, this role goes beyond traditional finance execution. You will be expected to actively rethink and redesign finance workflows, identifying repetitive or low-value tasks and implementing automation and AI-driven solutions to reduce manual effort, improve control, and enable the finance team to scale without linear headcount growth.

Responsibilities

Finance leadership & team management

  • Manage and mentor a team of six, setting a high bar for performance, data integrity, and process discipline across the finance function.
  • Reviewing accuracy of work prepared by team
  • Management of external accounting service providers as needed

Finance reporting, accounting & consolidation

  • Recording of financial transactions and maintenance of accurate financial data in accordance with IFRS
  • Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and management reporting packs
  • Preparation of annual financial statements
  • Consolidation of financial results across six + entities

Statutory tax & compliance

  • Ensuring all statutory deadlines and legal requirements are met including annual financial statements, employee and tax related matters etc.
  • Statutory account preparation, filings and audits
  • Manage income tax, VAT and all other relevant corporate taxes and levies
  • Oversee monthly payroll processing in four countries (with the help of external services providers as needed)

Cash management AR/AP & operational finance

  • Manage cash flow analysis, forecasting and liquidity
  • Oversee receipt and remittance of cash received on behalf of clients
  • Manage Cash on delivery (COD) operations and reconciliation
  • Accounts payable and supplier payments control and management
  • Accounts receivable management and cash collection team management
  • Oversee client invoicing automation and account maintenance

System controls & automation

  • Plan and own the finance related tech and automation roadmap
  • Evaluate, select, and lead the implementation of an ERP migration aligned with the company’s scaling and automation needs.
  • Preparation of reports for investors and the board of directors
  • Maintain accounting manuals and process documentation
  • Implementation and maintenance of internal controls

Cross functional collaboration

  • Collaborate with leadership team to ensure finance concerns are addressed in. product development and operations
  • Work within cross-functional growth squads to identify growth opportunities and launch experiments

About your technical skills and experience

Experience

  • At least five to eight years experience in a management accounting role (e.g. Financial Manager) preferably in a start-up or scaling business environment
  • Hold a Chartered Accountant or equivalent designation (preferred)
  • Proven success managing multi-entity environments and complex consolidations.
  • Experience in top tier accounting firm would be advantageous
  • Experienced in ERP systems with a track record of identifying and implementing automations to replace manual workflows.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce or logistic space is a plus
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in the following jurisdictions would be ideal: UAE, KSA, Lebanon, UK and Netherlands

Skills

  • Attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and internal controls.
  • Honest and loyal to a fault
  • Comfortable with group consolidations across multiple and investor based reporting
  • Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail. Ability to structure and organize the finance team for maximum scalability, not just manage existing staff.
  • Obsessed with maintaining highest standard of internal processes and controls
  • History of stepping-up and out-performing in previous roles
