Project Engineer (Civil) – Power Generation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Civil) to join our Projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising civil works related to power generation projects, ensuring all activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil works for power generation projects from initiation through final handover.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure all civil works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and schedules.
• Supervise civil activities including generator foundations, equipment foundations, cable trenches, control rooms, and associated infrastructure works.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and progress reports.
• Review contractor work, site measurements, and project documentation.
• Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions to maintain project progress.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular project status updates.
• Support project testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, preferably in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or power generation projects.
• Experience in civil works related to industrial facilities, substations, power plants, or diesel generator (Genset) installations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete works, structural works, and site supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is preferred.
• Good command of the English language (spoken and written).
